Arizona identification cards are great if you need to prove your age and identity but don't have a driver's license. ID cards in Arizona are handled by the AZ Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) and are helpful for such tasks as proving your identity, voting, and opening a bank account.

Arizona Voluntary Travel ID
The Arizona MVD now issues federally-compliant REAL ID identification cards—called Voluntary Travel IDs—in addition to standard ID cards and driver’s licenses. A Travel ID will allow you to use your AZ ID card for domestic travel and entry into federal and military buildings—after October 2020, a standard driver’s license will not suffice for these activities. Renew Your AZ Identification Card
You will need to update your photo on your AZ identification card every 12 years. The AZ MVD will send a reminder for you to visit an AZ MVD driver's license facility in person.

Replace Your Arizona ID Card
If your AZ ID card is lost or stolen, you should report it to your local police department to reduce the risk of identity theft. You can order a duplicate Arizona ID from the AZ MVD online, by phone, or in person. You cannot order a replacement ID card by mail.
